Eddie Lee Evans, 62, of Peoria, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded, following services.
Eddie was born in Brickeys, Arkansas on November 17, 1948, a son of Roscoe and Bertha Lee (Miller) Evans. They preceded him in death, along with two great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Anthron Johnson) Evans of Peoria and Tiffany (Cecil) Evans-Harris and Capre Evans, all of Flint, MI; son, Ozier Evans of Peoria; step-daughter, Mia Wilson of Peoria; sisters, Olivia (Tom Buford) Pasha and Elevlyn (Nathaniel) Wright, all of Michigan City, IN and Mary Sanders of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Alvin (Lydia) Weddle Jr., Robin Weddle and Willie Weddle, all of Michigan City and Melvin Miller of Honolulu, HI; twenty-four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; special friend, Rosie Cole of Peoria; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Eddie was formerly employed with Labor Ready in Peoria and was of the Muslim faith.
